Finally, the extended Pro version of my 2,5 years old KeyRing app for Windows Phone is out! An extensive beta test revealed last-minute problems and leaded to the final release. Hereby I want to thank all the beta testers and especially CapoFantasma97 for the help with the italian translation.
If you’re curious, KeyRing is a password manager for Windows Phone that doesn’t need a data connection. The secret data you enter into KeyRing will not leave your phone. No other app will be able to access the data, that’s guaranteed by the OS.
This safety comes with a price. No backup to the cloud, as other password managers do. No synchronization to other devices. But you’re sure where your passwords are read!
Nevertheless, there are situations, when the data in the phone might get in danger: You reset your phone, or you migrate to a new phone. That’s when you wish you had a backup you could restore.
KeyRing Pro solves this dilemma by allowing to create a backup file into a user-selectable folder on the phone. The file is encrypted and can be copied to a PC via USB and then maybe to another phone.
